Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The FUDMA Journal of Accounting and Finance Research (FUJAFR) upholds the highest standards of publication ethics to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing. All stakeholders—including editors, reviewers, and authors—are expected to adhere to these standards.
1. Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board
- Make decisions solely based on the quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscript.
- Ensure that peer review is fair, transparent, and timely.
- Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
- Avoid conflicts of interest in editorial decision-making.
- Correct errors or retract articles when necessary to uphold the scholarly record.
2. Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and reviewer reports.
- Declare any conflict of interest that could influence their review.
- Avoid using information from the manuscript for personal or professional advantage.
3. Responsibilities of Authors
- Ensure manuscripts are original, accurately reported, and properly cited.
- Avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or duplicate submission.
- Disclose all sources of funding and potential conflicts of interest.
- Ensure ethical compliance in research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data, with appropriate approvals.
4. Handling Misconduct
FUJAFR follows international guidelines for publication ethics (e.g., COPE, ICMJE) in dealing with misconduct:
- Suspected plagiarism is verified using plagiarism detection software.
- Duplicate submissions or publication will be rejected and authors may be barred from future submissions.
- Fabrication or falsification of data will trigger a formal investigation by the editorial board.
- Retraction notices or corrections will be issued when errors or misconduct are confirmed.
5. Conflicts of Interest
- All authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence their work.
- Declared conflicts are managed according to the journal’s policy to ensure impartiality.
6. Transparency and Accountability
- FUJAFR maintains an open and transparent editorial process.
- All decisions and policies are communicated clearly to authors, reviewers, and readers.
The journal reserves the right to publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in alignment with COPE guidelines.
